I’ve had various people introducing their interpretation of ” Jazz ” on this weblog , and some posted poets and articles while others used their paintings and photographs to explain their Jazz.
The purpose of ” Jazz in You ” is not to introduce my favorite jazz musicians or music, but to throw a question at subscribers ” What does Jazz mean to you ? “. As said above, I believe ” Jazz ” can be found not only in the form of music, but also in the forms of other arts and also in one’s thoughts, behaviors and life, I mean, a way of life.
I will be very pleased to have your ” Jazz in You ” in my blog to introduce it to my friends of jazz in Japan, together with your music. It does not need to be an article of long sentences, but few words would suffice.
I much appreciate it if you can add some friendly comments to your ” Jazz in You “, not for myself, but for subscribers of my blog, who are all into Jazz.

好きな Jazz のアーティストや曲を紹介すると言った物ではなく、
「あなたにとって Jazz とは何ですか？」と言うものです。
音楽に囚われず、生き方、想い等、人それぞれの ” JAZZ ” を紹介しています。
日本のジャズ・クラブジャズシーンに彗星のように現れた青木カレン。2006年に須永辰緒氏、野崎良太氏らのプロデュースによる 1st アルバム 「 TOKYO Jz TRIPPIN ‘」 をリリース。
2007年より BS Asahi TV にてジャズ音楽番組 「 Groovin’ Jazz Night」 のメインキャストに抜擢、そして九州 クロス FM でも STAR FLYER社 が提供する番組 「 Groovin’ Jazz Trippin’ 」 をスタートさせた。2007年9月、2ndアルバム 「 KAREN 」 をリリース。i-tunes ダウンロードが40万ヒットを記録。国内でも 「 ADLIB アワード2007 」 で Club / Dance 部門で堂々と4位、女性ヴォーカリストとしては1位を獲得。6月に発売された 「 SHINING 」 は今年の J-JAZZ を代表するヒットとなり、多くのチャートのトップを獲得。今、日本を代表する最も美しいジャズ・ディーヴァである。
■ Shima & Shikou DUO
島裕介と伊藤志宏による、本格派新世代 JAZZ DUO。 2人とは思えない繊細で迫力あるライブは、レコード番長こと須永辰緒氏も大絶賛。
自身のコンピレーションアルバム「夜ジャズ」にもセレクトされ、クラブイベント「夜ジャズ」や「モダンジャズ入門」等にもライブ参加。
トランペットの島裕介は EGO-WRAPPIN’、Saigenji、畠山美由紀、風味堂、オレンジペコーなどのライブ・レコーディングに参加、ピアノの伊藤志宏も一青窈のライブや UA のアルバム 「 SUN 」 にも参加する実力派アーティストである。

ジャパニーズ・ニュージャズアーティストの先駆けとして、精力的な活動を続ける native 。
Gilles Peterson をはじめ海外でも高い評価を得ており、INFRACom・Needs・Compost が主催するイベントへも出演。
そして Nicola Conte によるリミックスを含む ” Prussian Blue EP ” で海外デビュー。そのアルバムが全世界でリリースされるなど、グローバルな活動を続けている。
青木カレンのアルバム、須永辰緒氏監修の 「 MODAL JAZZ loves DISNEY 」にも音源を提供し、多くの指示を得ている。
■ JABBERLOOP
Mondo Grosso や Sleep Walker などを送り出した京都の老舗 Club 「 Metro 」 で頭角を現し、世界が注目する新世代クラブジャズユニット「 JABBERLOOP 」。コロムビアミュージックエンタテイメントより 1st アルバム「 and infinite jazz… 」 でメジャーデビュー。その独自の世界観溢れる楽曲は Gilles Peterson、Jazzanova、Patrick Forge など多くのトップ DJ がプレイしている。
また日本国内でも 「 ADLIB AWARDS 2007 国内クラブ・ダンス賞 」 を受賞。様々なアーティストのプロデュースやリミックスなど、彼らの無限大な音楽表現は留まるところを知らない。
福岡を中心に活動する JAZZ ボーカリスト 和田いづみ、Jean Thielemans、Stan Getz とも共演する世界的なベーシスト 「 森泰人 」、そして綾戸智絵、石崎忍のアルバムにも参加するピアニスト 「 中村真 」 からなるグループ。和田いづみは 2008年11月に 森泰人、Simon Westman、Johan Borgstrom、Sebastiaan Kaptein とスウェーデンにてレコーディング。2009年３月には、初ソロアルバム 「 Just The Two Of Us 」 をリリース予定。
